a) Examine Karen’s and her mother’s situation as far as their pregnancies and expectations for their children are concerned.
Visualize your results on mother and daughter in a flow chart.
b) Compare your results to the line graph of teenage pregnancies in the US as well as to the conclusions listed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Sevices (M1).
Keep in mind that Julius Lester published his short story in 1993.
c) On the basis of your findings, analyse the short story’s title.
d) Examine Karen’s view on dreams in general as well as her own personal dream at the end of the story.
